How to support relief efforts in Burma |
|
CUSO offers its condolences to those in Burma (also known as Myanmar) afflicted by the devastation of Cyclone Nargis on May 2nd. While CUSO is not a relief organization, nor does the NGO work within Burma, we hope disaster assistance will be swift and reach those who need it most. CUSO supports the relief efforts of the Canadian Red Cross, and also the Mae Tao Clinic, a CUSO partner group in the region.

Letter From The Field

Water, water, almost everywhere |
Kanvilli is a little village on the outskirts of Tamale city, in Northern Ghana. It has a population of a few thousand, and is a farming community like all villages in this part of Ghana. Citizens here live almost completely off the land, keeping livestock, growing food crops, and using firewood for cooking.
But they often lack one key resource – water.
